A team from Trinity College visits Asha

A team of eleven from Trinity College, Melbourne (Australia) visited Asha in the month of January. After a brief orientation and a round of the Polyclinic, the Trinity team led by Harriet went to the Asha’s Seelampur slum community.

On their arrival, the whole Asha family showered them with a warm welcome. During their 10 days of stay, the Trinity team conducted Grammar and Spoken English classes. Several creative opportunities such as painting, drawing, singing and dancing were also provided.

Within the short span of their stay, the Trinity team, as well as the Asha family, spent beautiful moments together that will remain intact forever.

“I think not only me but the whole team is going to carry this nostalgia with them for life. The time we spent here with these beautiful children is something I will never forget, nor I would want to. Living a life of destitute yet managing to smile and share moments of happiness with the others; I think these slum dwellers are better than all of us. We practiced the Asha Values which will keep inspiring us,” said a smiling Harriet reflecting overwhelming emotions.

Their 10-day-long trip came to an end on January 23rd. The team flew back to their place carrying lots of stories and love with them forever.

Thank you for this wonderful time with us! We wish to see you again soon.
