Here’s a post from Sunny who is doing a master's in strategic public relations at Sydney University. He got an internship at QBE, a large insurance company through Sunil Lal, one of the board members of FOA Australia.
I hope you are doing wonderfully. I’m excited to share that I have successfully completed my internship at QBE Insurance as a Government Relations Intern. During my time at QBE, I had the opportunity to work closely with the Government Relations and Industry Affairs team. I attended several parliamentary inquiries online, wrote briefs and bios for numerous politicians, and summarized meetings and sessions for the team.
Additionally, I participated in meetings with the communications team, where I gained valuable insights into managing social media, handling media inquiries, and overall communication strategies. The environment at QBE was fantastic, filled with supportive and helpful people. Everyone was genuinely interested in hearing about my journey, including my work with Asha and the incredible impact you’ve made.
I shared my experiences from my early life in Delhi and how your efforts have transformed the lives of countless individuals including mine in the slums. I also had the privilege of meeting the CEO of the Australia region, which was an amazing experience. I am profoundly grateful for all these opportunities, and I owe it to you, Maa. Words cannot fully express my gratitude for your support.
