With the rising cases of COVID-19 positive cases in India with each passing day, India has now become the third worst-affected country in the world. This has affected the Asha slum communities as well wherein there have been multiple positive cases recently. Asha continues to provide safety guidelines and relief materials to slum dwellers.
India has surpassed Russia to now become the country with the third-largest caseload in the world, after the US and Brazil. Delhi is among the worst affected cities in the country, and the slums have many cases. The Asha public health Covid-19 interventions are multiple and intense. Most people are out of work, and in desperate need of food parcels.”
