“Hello, folks, in addition to all the measures we have been taking, I decided that it was important to give cash to those above 65 years of age who live alone. Also to widows, the disabled, and the poor who have no money. We have begun the cash distribution today and it will go on for the next few days as it will take time to cover all the communities. The elderly were so grateful. They are not connected to the rest of the world digitally, and isolation, anxiety, ignorance and fear can be terrible to deal with. I have asked the team to visit them every day and enquire after them so that they don’t feel alone and abandoned.” – Dr Kiran
