Macquarie Team visits Asha

Dr Kiran and the Asha team hosted a team from Macquarie Global Services for a visit at our community based centre in Dr Ambedkar slum colony. In order to gain an insight into the lives of Delhi’s slum based communities, team Macquarie spent the entire day with Asha. The students and women from the community shared their tales of challenges, hope and triumph as they recounted Asha’s 27 years in their community. The team from Macquarie also visited the community in their homes to witness their challenges firsthand.

Macquarie has been associated with the Asha Internship Programme since its inception in 2012, and has provided internships to 18 students over these years. Along with this, the Macquarie Foundation has also very generously lent support to other Asha projects. Here’s a short video where Dr Kiran describes the Asha-Macquarie relationship
