Asha had the privilege of hosting Mr Rossa Fanning, Attorney General of Ireland, along with H.E. Mr Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to India, Mr Raymond Mullen, Deputy Head of Mission, and members of the Irish Embassy at the Ambedkar slum community on St. Patrick’s Day.
The visit began with a warm traditional welcome, as Asha’s college students greeted the delegation with garlands. During the interaction, students shared their personal journeys—highlighting their efforts to continue education, access new opportunities, and build a more secure future.
Among them was Kajal, an Asha student now working at the Embassy of Ireland. Her journey stands as a strong example of how the right support can open pathways to meaningful opportunities.
Mr Fanning also interacted with students preparing for the IELTS, who are set to travel to Australia later this year. He congratulated them on their achievements and encouraged them to remain focused as they move forward in their academic and professional journeys.
We sincerely thank the Irish delegation for their time, encouragement, and continued support. Their visit reinforced the importance of education in creating opportunities and enabling lasting change.
