Dr Kiran- ”I returned from my visit to Zakhira slum colony today with mixed feelings. There was so much sorrow and suffering, and at the same time, there was hope and gratitude.
Below is one of the smallest homes in all the Asha communities. It belongs to our brilliant student Santosh who is doing his Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering from one of India’s top engineering colleges, Delhi Technological University. His mother wept tears of gratitude to Asha for where he is today. The three walls seen in these pictures are all there is.
Even during these dark times, they have Hope in Asha and expressed their gratitude. They found a way to make beautiful gratitude cards.”
