Dr Kiran met with Shemara Wikramanayake, Chair, Macquarie Group Foundation, and Sandeep Dhawan, Division Director, Head of Global Finance Services – India at their Delhi offices on January 18, 2016.
They had an exciting discussion on the wonderful benefits of the partnership between Macquarie Group Foundation and Asha. The collaboration is a fine example of how companies and NGOs can work together to bring about such amazing transformation among disadvantaged communities.
Macquarie has been providing Asha with financial resources, taking in interns, mentoring our students, teaching and coaching them. The Macquarie team, in turn, has been energised by their involvement with Asha, and have volunteered to get involved in a host of activities. Recently a team of over 40 employees ran the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon and raised vital funds for our Higher Education Programme.
