Summer camp is the time when children do something creative. These camps are all about learning, making friends and having fun. But for the slum kids, such camps are a distant dream. Many do not even know what these camps are. The kids in the slum spend their summer vacation toiling around the slum, play in the garbage or just watching TV.
Since the last two years, Asha has initiated an idea of having a summer camp in all its slum communities for Asha’s Bal Mandal children so that they can make their vacation productive. These fun-filled activities promise children not only to be productive and think out of the box but also create the memories that last a lifetime.
