Esha, an 18-year-old Asha student, defied challenges to secure admission to Janki Devi Memorial College, Delhi University, pursuing her B.A. in Economics and Political Science. Fueled by the Asha warriors' encouragement, she discovered renewed motivation at the Asha Centre. Originally from Bihar, her father was a daily wage labourer, and unfortunately, he met with an accident that led to a year-long hospitalization. Her mother had to perform a dual role in managing home and hospital care. Although her father recovered, the pandemic caused him to lose his job. Guided by the Asha team, Esha cleared the CUET, securing college admission, but financial barriers were looming. She overcame the obstacle with Asha's support, covering college fees and other expenses. Esha also embraced her role as an Asha ambassador, actively participating in various Asha interventions, imbibing the Asha Way of Life and helping other students excel academically.
