On Sunday, Asha had the joy of welcoming our wonderful supporters Ranjeet and Kanchi Rao, along with their friend, renowned Australian chef Shane Delia and his family, to our Seelampur centre.
They were greeted with garlands and warmth, and the day unfolded into a memorable journey through Asha’s work. From listening to women share how Dr. Kiran’s vision empowered them to step out of their homes and find confidence, to hearing students speak of their struggles and achievements made possible through Asha’s support, the visit was filled with moving moments.
Our guests also experienced the joy of the Love and Lunch Program, where the elderly filled the centre with smiles, and Chef Shane delighted everyone by joining our team in cooking pakodas and mutton kebabs.
The visit concluded with a community walk and a visit to a student’s home, offering a glimpse into the challenges and resilience of life in the slums. We are deeply grateful to Ranjeet, Kanchi, Shane, and their family for taking the time to be with us and for encouraging our community with their presence.
