Dr Kiran met with the University of Melbourne team, led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael Wesley, to discuss the exciting collaboration between Asha and the university. The meeting included senior faculty, Associate Deans, and Ormond College Executive Director Ms. Kim Howells, where Asha scholarship students will reside.
Accompanied by Asha’s Education Officer Shiv Kumar and Research Scholars Chandan and Tushar, Dr Kiran shared updates on Asha’s transformative work and the newly signed MOU.
Starting in 2025, Asha students will pursue Master's degrees at the University of Melbourne with full scholarships, including tuition waivers, accommodation, and a generous stipend.
Shiv eloquently shared the challenges of convincing students and parents to embrace higher education, emphasizing the life-changing impact of this partnership.
