Asha ambassador Tushar belongs to the Mayapuri slum community that is sandwiched between the railway line and Asia’s largest scrap market. Tushar shares the painful experience of one of the most difficult times in his life, when his father, lost his job due to the lockdown. Despite his personal problems, Tushar continued to visit each slum home from door to door with the Asha warriors team and made sure every slum family was aware of the COVID-19 safety guidelines. He believes that we have a long way to go as there are still thousands of slum dwellers who still need our help.
