We were happy to have a team from Australia visit us. Dr Kiran welcomed Penny Fowler, Chairman of The Herald and Weekly Times, Ross Fitzgerald, Director of Visy Industries, Lisa Sampson also from Visy Industries, and Greg Sheridan, Australian foreign affairs journalist with his wife, Jessie.

In order to gain an insight of the Healthcare Programme, the Australian team visited the Asha Polyclinic. The visitors were then taken to Dr Ambedkar slum colony to witness the life at slums first-hand. Dr Kiran introduced the visitors to the students and women from the community, who shared their stories of challenges, hope and triumph as they recounted Asha’s 27 years in the community.
