Khalid’s Journey to Health and Hope: Overcoming COPD with Asha’s Support

Khalid Ahmad is a 65-year-old resident of the Seelampur Slum Community for the past 35 years. He was infected with pulmonary TB, and currently, he is a COPD patient for many years. Due to the financial burden of a large family, he ignored the right medication and medication, worsening his health condition rapidly; he struggled to breathe, especially at night. Understanding his situation, the Asha Mahila mandal members staying close by advised him to visit the Asha clinic. He started the medication under the guidance of Asha’s senior nurse practitioner.
With consistent and compassionate care, our team continued treating him with inhalers, nebulizers, medications, and dietary advice. His health is gradually improving with their support, and he feels much better.
Khalid says he will continue his medication without fail; the love, care, and proper treatment he receives at the centre are unparalleled and irreplaceable.
